Spring 2018 Here are the designs for the large cabin doors.  When Rod and Donna Mattison moved home to California, Rod left me a lot of 1' thick poplar planks, 10", 12",  14" wide.  Beautiful wood for doors!   Window cutouts at the top.  I really enjoyed this project - first time I've ever made doors. Design, fabrication, and glue-bonded assembly.  I used metal screws to allow removal of sections for window installation or replacement. I also added additional fasteners for style and to assure the bonded wood had additional safety from de lamination.  In "the business" these additional fasteners are referred to as "chicken fasteners" because I was chicken that the wood and glue alone wouldn't hold.
